This may include rigid gas permeable (RGP) or scleral lenses—we’ll guide you through these if needed.
How to Care for Contact Lenses
If you choose reusable lenses, proper hygiene is essential:
-Always wash hands before handling lenses
-Clean and store them in fresh solution daily
-Never sleep in lenses unless they’re approved for overnight use
-Replace your case every 1–3 months
We’ll show you exactly how to insert, remove, and care for your lenses during your fitting.
How We Help You Get Started
At Mission Creek Optometry, we make the process simple:
-Eye Exam & Contact Lens Fitting
We’ll check your eye health and measure your eyes to find the perfect lens.
-Trial Lenses/Training if needed
You’ll try a pair in-office and often take home a sample to see how they feel. If you are a first time wearer, you will undergo a contact lens training course which will show you how to properly insert and remove the contact lens, as well as proper care for them.
-Follow-Up Visit
We’ll check your comfort and vision to make any adjustments if needed.
