Top 3 Common Styes

Days have gotten shorter and the increase of red and sore lids is on the rise.  Although these images appear different, treatment is the same. Here is how to identify a stye.

The Internal Stye is the most uncomfortable, it can interfere with vision and can be harder to identify if it is small.

The most unsightly is the External Stye .  It also is the slowest to resolve, however it tends to be the least uncomfortable.

The Marginal Stye  is the most common, responds to warm compresses the best and usually heals without leaving a residual bump.  In fact, it is more common for a notch to appear in the area after this type of Stye or Chalazion..

Treatment is warm compresses.  The use of a Bruder or eye mask is recommended.
